At Kahumana Yoga, we ask participants to provide a suggested donation of ten dollars in order to continue to bring affordable yoga classes to the west side of Oahu. We look forward to joining you in practice, mindfulness and meditation.
Restorative Hatha Flow
Tuesdays 6:15 - 7:30 pm

Description: All levels welcomed. This style blends the philosophy of restorative with that of hatha yoga. Restorative yoga focuses on grounding and creating full support in the body through props, inviting total relaxation (physical, mental and emotional). Hatha yoga is the classical form of yoga postures and breathing that revitalizes the body physically and mentally . When these styles are blended together it creates a healing flow type class. Moving through postures to help release tension in the body as well as in the mind. This class is a wonderful way to open the and relax the body, increase flexibility and find space and ease within ourselves.
Morning Mauka Yoga
Saturdays 9:15 - 10:30 am

Description: All levels welcomed. Create space in the body through breath and movement. Start your weekend off on a positive and mindful note. Become in tune with the natural world outdoors on the farm while you find balance between strengthening and stretching.
Our Yoga Instructor
Kristalena aka Krissa
Kristalena came to Oahu from Massachusetts to explore sustainable farming. She found her center by working the land and through her devoted yoga practice. She runs the yoga program at Kahumana and is also an instructor at Hale Lana (Kahumana’s program for developmentally disabled adults, where she teaches fun meditation, yoga, and sound healing practices). Qualifications include: 200 RYT Ashtanga yoga certification through Yoga Alliance -Shakti Flow Teacher Training. Over 500 hours of teaching all levels. She believes that in our fast-paced world, the connection within ourselves, each other, and the natural world around us is how we experience growth and love.
